You may or may not have heard of the term “micro-brewery”.

While the exact definition varies, a micro-brewery is usually a brewery that produces limited quantity of craft beer and that is independently owned. If you are also unfamiliar with the term “craft beer”, the latter is described as beer that is made from “traditional or innovative ingredients”. In other words, craft beer is nothing like the type of beer that you are used to. It’s even better.

If you live in Calgary or in surrounding areas, chances are that you have heard of the Minhas Micro Brewery at least once. (If you have not, that’s okay. That’s why we are here!) For over two decades now the Minhas Micro Brewery has been producing quality, premium craft beer in Calgary. Those products — among them the Lazy Mutt Wheat Ale, the Red, the Authentic IPA and the Lazy Mutt Gluten Free Lager — have caught the interest of people from all over Canada.

The Minhas Micro Brewery also offers one of the best brewery tours in the province. The latter allows people like you to sample some of our products while learning more about how craft beer is made.
